There are waiting lists for most instruments (for piano it can sometimes be up to two years), so please fill in your music lesson application form as soon as possible. ALL information about lessons can be found in the MUSIC INFORMATION DOCUMENT on our website. An application form is available there as well.
Piano is the most popular instrument chosen and the waiting list can be up to two years, so we encourage you to consider alternative instruments such as cello, clarinet, recorder, saxophone or drum kit. Brass instruments such as trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba are taught at Beau Soleil Music Centre in Salisbury Road, Kenilworth, and you are encouraged to consider these too, especially as there is a high demand for students playing these instruments in the local high schools. Students who choose this option are still able to participate in all WGJS and Campus orchestral events.
START OF CHOIR REHEARSALS, ENSEMBLES AND LESSONS
All ensembles, choirs and individual music lessons will begin in the second week of term. Learners wishing to join the Senior Choir, Intermediate Choir or Junior Choir are not auditioned and must just come to the first rehearsal in the hall. Individual lesson learners will be notified of their lesson day and time.
