Drama Delights in Junior School: Lights, Laughter, and Learning!
Drama in Junior School is so much more than just playing dress-up or memorizing lines — it’s a thrilling adventure into imagination, teamwork, and self-expression. Whether students are transforming into pirates, princesses, or penguins, Drama provides a joyful and meaningful way for children to build confidence, communication skills, and creativity.
This year has been especially exciting, with Grades 6 and 7 proudly performing at the annual Shakespeare Festival at the Homecoming Theatre — a definite highlight! Taking to the stage with courage and flair, our young actors brought the Bard’s words to life in front of a real audience, complete with lights, costumes, and a touch of stage magic. What a moment to remember!
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Throughout the year, students have leapt at the chance to perform at school assemblies, showcasing skits, poems, musical numbers, and even a few impromptu comedy acts. These performances allow every learner to shine, celebrate their talents, and grow more confident in front of their peers.
Drama is more than entertainment — it’s a vital part of developing expressive, resilient, and collaborative young people. In Junior School, it’s where imaginations ignite, confidence takes center stage, and every child gets a chance to shine in the spotlight!
Drama is open for girls in Grade 3 – 7 and our Grade 7 girls have the privilege of participating in the annual Shakespeare Festival, which is always a highlight of the year!
