Environmental Sustainability

As a community school, we value our environment and encourage our girls to respect the natural resources we have around us.

We want our girls to be good global citizens, and looking after our planet is one such way to do this. Throughout the year, respect for the environment is incorporated into every classroom – through encouraging our girls and families to make eco-bricks out of rubbish, recycling as much as possible, participating in beach and park clean-ups etc. We are proud members of the Jane Goodall Foundation’s Roots and Shoots programme, which encourages youth across the globe to be active agents of change!

We are also proudly water wise, where our on-site JoJo tanks are used to collect rainwater which, together with our borehole water, is used in our ablution facilities as well as to water our fields and garden areas.

As part of the SunExchange programme, we have installed solar panels on our hall roof, which generate solar energy to reduce our monthly electricity spend.
