Steps to Apply
The following application process will be applicable for South African citizens
- All 2024 applicants must apply on the WCED website. Applicants can click here.
- 2025 Applications for Grade R will open on 01 August 2024 and close on 16 August 2024.
The following application process will be applicable for South African citizens
- Copy of learner’s unabridged birth certificate – allow at least 6 weeks for processing
- Copy of learner’s clinic card
- Copy of both parents’ ID documents
- Proof of residential address (utility bill or lease agreement only)
- Copy of most recent school report
For non-sa citizens
- Requirement of all ‘enabling documents’ (such as temporary residence visa, permanent residence permit, asylum seeker‘s permit etc.) to be submitted with the application
- Documents to accompany the application: Copy of the birth certificate issued by the country of origin must be attached
- Proof of immunisation
- Unabridged birth certificate
- Copies of both parents’ passports
- Proof of residential address (utility bill or lease agreement only)

STEP 2
Complete your WCED application form online at https://admissions.westerncape.gov.za/admissions/login. Applications for Grade R for 2024 will open on 01 August 2024 and close on 16 August 2024.
All applications MUST be completed online only through the WCED website (link above). There is NO physical / additional application form available from the school.

- Wynberg Girls’ Junior School is a school of choice and each year we receive more applications than we can accommodate.
- Not all candidates can be placed.
- Placement will be according to the school’s Admission Policy.
- If Wynberg Girls’ Junior School is not the nearest school to the applicant, the applicant MUST ALSO APPLY TO THAT SCHOOL WHICH IS NEAREST TO THEIR PLACE OF RESIDENCE.
- Placements for Grade R and 1 will be notified by end of June of the year prior to admission.
- Placements for Grades 2-7 will be notified by end of September of the year prior to admission.
